3 College Apps You Can’t Live Without
With an ever growing population of college students carrying smartphones, it is important to understand the apps available to help do well in school. Below are three such apps.
What a ridiculous name for such a fantastic app. No longer will you have the excuse that you just didn’t know that something was due or that a grade was coming in. With iStudiezPro, it is completely possible to see all of the upcoming work that is ready and waiting to be completed. An app like this can transform the way in which a student plans his or her schedule.
Virtually every paper that a college student writes will have to have a bibliography included at the end. A lot of students find this challenging as most of us will have forgotten how to do a bibliography at some point in time. This is why EasyBib makes the list. It is a great app that allows the student to scan the bar code found on the back of a book and instantly receive the information required to write in the correct bibliography.
Practicing self-control is a big part of what college students have to learn how to do. It seems that with all of the Internet distractions that are available to us, it is all too easy to lose that restraint. As such, an app has been created that allows users to block themselves from viewing certain websites for a period of time. This Mashable quote describes it perfectly,
SelfControl lets you set a period of time to block certain websites or mail servers by adding them to a “blacklist.” It’s too bad if you finish your work early — restarting your computer or deleting the application won’t negate the timer.
Though this is not an exhaustive list of the apps that college students should be using, it is a good start and something worth considering before entering or even while in college.
