A Few Apps University Students Are Using To Find Dates
The university crowd has always had a reputation as being a little ahead of the curve when it comes to technology. Those in this age group seem to be happier to embrace new technology and applications and use them. There are many apps being used right now by college students to help them find dates, so let’s explore a few.
The hottest dating app out right now is known simply as Tinder. This app allows users to flick to the right or left when they see a picture of another member who is in the area. This right or left choice is the user determining if they believe the person is hot or not. If two members both are attracted to one another, then a chat window will pop up allowing the users to start having a conversation together.
This app is the one that started it all, from news.yahoo.com,
The app that started the geosocial dating craze, Grindr is a gay-only app for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry that displays, in grid form, all of the male users in close proximity who might be available. Unlike with Pure or Tinder, everyone is free to message everyone else (though, there is a block function for anyone being too creepy).
Use of this app is one way in which university students who are not out may be able to find others who have the same sexual interests as they do.
Date My School
This one allows people to find fellow students or alumni of their school who are on the site. It prohibits outsiders from joining by requiring an .edu e-mail address at sign up. Students can connect with one another quickly and easily this way. It is a particularly helpful app for those who are attending a large university.
This is certainly not an exhaustive list, however it may help you get started if you are looking to get into the dating scene at your university.
